Sevendust “Home” Gold Record Award

Today’s a truly special day, I’ve just received not one, but two incredible awards! First up, the Static-X "Wisconsin Death Trip" Gold Record Award (you can read more about that one in a separate blog post here). And alongside it this beauty, the Sevendust "Home" Gold Record Award.

Home, Sevendust’s sophomore album, was released on August 24, 1999, via TVT Records, and earned its well-deserved Gold certification from the RIAA on May 18, 2000. The album made an impressive debut at #19 on the Billboard Top 200, where it stayed for a solid 14 weeks. But its success didn’t stop there—Home also charted internationally, hitting #73 in Australia and #26 in New Zealand.

Let’s break down this stunning plaque, it’s an absolute masterpiece! The design is nothing short of exceptional. Behind the gold vinyl, you’ve got a piece of the “Home” artwork, setting the stage for the beauty that follows. The gold vinyl is layered with another touch of brilliance: each of the five band members is displayed on separate cards, creating a dynamic 3D effect that really brings the piece to life.

Even the CD gets its own special place, mounted securely on sturdy cardboard, while the album cover artwork sits elegantly in the top right corner. Over to the left, the Sevendust logo is etched into the plexiglass, adding a nice touch, and below it you’ll find the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) certification along with the signature hologram bar, marking the achievement. It’s a true work of art, honoring an album that deserves nothing less.

This award is also dedicated to Jonathan Lev, here’s a small BIO about him: From his days as a garage-rock drummer propelled his success in delivering brand value and revenue growth for artists, labels, and platforms. Named by Rolling Stone as a top alternative independent music promoter, he has served as a vital connector for iconic acts like Nirvana, U2, Coldplay, and Billie Eilish. With expertise across A&R, marketing, and content development, Lev grew and led two alternative consulting firms, most recently launching the profitable J Lev, Inc. Over 17 years, he’s amassed numerous RIAA awards and played a key role in building a multiplatform audio program.
