Chevelle “Wonder what’s next” Platinum award

We just received a special delivery from the United States: a stunning Platinum Award for Chevelle's album "Wonder What's Next". Released on October 8, 2002, the album quickly made waves, earning its RIAA Platinum certification on June 24, 2003, after surpassing one million copies sold. With iconic singles like "The Red", "Send the Pain Below", and "Closure", the album became a defining moment in rock.

Nearly 17 years later, on May 29, 2020, "Wonder What's Next" was officially recognized with a Double Platinum certification, marking over two million copies sold. And that's not all: the single "Send the Pain Below" also went Platinum on the same day, while the other single "The Red" reached Double Platinum, hitting the impressive milestone of two million copies sold.

The award itself is in remarkable condition, especially when you consider that it’s over 20 years old. That speaks volumes about its quality and the significance it holds. The award showcases the album’s iconic artwork, and it’s beautifully framed in a sleek silver metallic frame that perfectly complements the color of the vinyl. A true work of art in itself. And, just like every official RIAA award, it proudly displays the RIAA serial number bar hologram, a unique marker of authenticity and prestige.

Let's talk about the person the award is dedicated to: Harvey Leeds has had an illustrious career in the music industry, retiring after more than three decades with Sony Music & Entertainment. Serving as Senior Vice President of Radio Promotion and Marketing and later as Senior VP of Artist Development, Leeds played an instrumental role in shaping the careers of legendary artists such as Boston, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan, Culture Club, Pearl Jam, Incubus, and Rage Against the Machine, among others.

Currently, Leeds is the owner of Headquarters, a management and consulting firm affiliated with Live Nation, Inc..

In recognition of his unparalleled expertise, Harvey Leeds was honored with the Artist Development Executive of the Year award at the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards for an impressive sixth time in 2007. In tribute to his remarkable contributions, Pollstar chose to retire the award after that year.
