Staind “Break The Cycle” 4x Platinum Award
It always feels like Christmas when a new award arrives. So today the Staind “Break the Cycle” 4x Platinum award just arrived, and let me tell you, its another fantastic looking award! Released on May 8, 2001, Staind’s third studio album was certified Platinum by June 13 of the same year, and by November 2, 2001, it had already reached 4× Platinum. Two years later, on September 8, 2003, it achieved 5× Platinum status.
Upon release, Break the Cycle debuted at number 1 in the United States, selling an impressive 717,600 copies in its first week. It also topped the charts in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, and the United Kingdom. In Switzerland, it reached number 18 and remained on the charts for an impressive 26 weeks. Overall, the album earned Gold certification in Australia, Sweden, and Germany; Platinum in the United Kingdom; 2× Platinum in both Canada and New Zealand; and, as noted, 5× Platinum in the United States.

The award features four CDs, each representing one million copies sold, for a total of four million units. The discs appear to float within the frame, creating a striking three-dimensional effect. The award’s design showcases the album’s dramatic shattered-glass artwork in a large format on the back, while the front displays the silver-colored vinyl, perfectly complementing the frame. Over the vinyl is the album’s inner artwork featuring the four members of Staind, with the band’s logo elegantly printed on the glass above, an impressive and visually cohesive presentation. This award is dedicated to Dave Garbarino, who appears to have worked for Staind’s record label at the time. While details about him are limited, we would welcome any additional information via the contact form on our website.
